Profile Cutting Project (Erskine Bridge)

Overview

The customer required a CE accredited supplier with the capacity to manage a project totalling 750 tonnes of profiles. The work involved producing 1,500 base and deck plates that required cutting, drilling, tapping and precise machine chamfering within an internal slot.

Our Solution

Working closely with the Steel Mills, we developed a coordinated material delivery plan that gave us the production time needed to meet every deadline. All processes were carried out in house, ensuring full control over cutting accuracy, machining quality and scheduling throughout the project.

Results

The Highways Agency praised the quality of the work and the reliability of the delivery schedule. As a result of the successful completion of the Erskine Bridge project, our customer was awarded the contract for the Kessock Bridge, which was of a similar scale.
