As specialists in HD plasma cutting, our facility is equipped with the exclusive Viper Twin Head XPR460 plasma cutting machine, featuring an impressive 16,000mm x 5,000mm cutting bed. This is complemented by a 300 Amp single-head machine with a 10,000mm x 2,500mm bed and a Gemini machine with a 7,000mm x 2,500mm bed. This combination of advanced CNC plasma cutting equipment allows us to efficiently process both heavy and light plate work while maintaining consistent accuracy and repeatability.

Plasma Cutting Project (JCB)

Overview

JCB needed a faster and more cost effective way to produce large telehandler side plates measuring 5 metres by 1.5 metres. Their existing process required multiple operations across different machines, leading to long lead times and high handling costs.

Our Solution

Using our Gemini combined machining and plasma cutting system, we completed every stage of the process in one setup. All holes were machined and tapped, the plate profile was plasma cut, and then chamfered the large hole. This removed the need for external machining or manual finishing.

Results

JCB received fully finished parts with shorter lead times, reduced costs and consistently high quality. The streamlined process enabled them to keep pace with production demand.
