What is Bevelling, Chamfering and Weld preps?
A chamfer is an angled cut made across the corner of a material, to remove the 90-degree edge. This involves making an angled cut along the edge of a piece of material but, to break it down into much simpler terms, a bevel is an edge that is sloped and a chamfer is an edge that is a Bevelled edge that connects two surfaces. In that case, the term bevel has been used as an adjective. Heavily used by fabricators to give strength in the joints of welding parts.
